What people ask before signing up.
- Is HG Companion medical advice?
- No. It is a clinical advocacy and documentation tool. It produces records, scores, and summaries you bring to a clinician — it does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace medical care.
- Do I need an account to use the tools?
- No. The HELP Score, PUQE-24, treatment protocol reference, and the learn section are free without sign-in. An account unlocks tracking history, provider-ready summaries, and caregiver sharing.
- Who built this?
- HG Companion is built by Novexa with patients, caregivers, and HG-literate clinicians. The severity instruments are the HER Foundation HELP Score and the published PUQE-24.
- Is my data private?
- Yes. Logs are private to your account and protected by row-level access control. Research contribution is opt-in and de-identified. We don't sell data, run ads, or share with insurers.
- Can my partner or doula see my logs?
- Yes. You can invite a caregiver who gets a read-only brief summarizing your trends and red flags — without exposing every line of your diary.
- What if my OB has never heard of HELP or PUQE?
- Both are published, peer-referenced instruments. The provider-ready summary cites them and translates your scores into the clinical thresholds clinicians act on.
- Does it cost anything?
- The public tools are free. Patient tracking accounts are free during the current preview. We will never paywall the severity scoring or ER-red-flag reference.
- How do I contribute to HG research?
- Inside the app, opt in under Settings → Research. Your logs are anonymized and pooled with other consenting users. You can withdraw at any time.
